This superstar right here is definitely one to follow! Andrea Saliba recently completed her education as a Registered Holistic Nutrition Practitioner and has been making waves ever since! She is also a Registered Health and Nutrition Coach, Group Fitness Instructor and a mother of three! Andrea is on the Nutrition Advisory Board and is a regular contributor to OptiMyz Magazine. She is passionate about educating people about the importance of a well balanced diet while incorporating a holistic approach towards achieving and attaining their specific goals. What Inspired you to become a Registered Health & Nutrition Coach? Being in the fitness industry for so many years and seeing all the different so called “health claims” really motivated me to choose this career. When I was much younger, I focused so much upon outer image, weight and counting calories. I now have a daughter and do not want her growing up with this type of mentality towards health. Becoming a Mother has really influenced me to push myself to achieve my own personal goals. Being a Nutritionist has always been a goal of mine and the fact that I have been able to achieve my biggest desire is huge for me. Last, I’ve been surrounded by many loved ones who suffered from chronic illness and disease in the passed few years. That was when I made my jump towards this career. If I can help someone in anyway possible, my mission in life is complete. What words of wisdom would you like to share about leading a healthy lifestyle? To always find peace within. I believe that when we truly find peace within our soul, we are living a full life. Happiness is truly the secret to living a long healthy life and although, yes, what we eat greatly impacts our health, so does the relationship we have with ourselves. I always tell my clients that if they want to see results, they must first adjust their mindset and believe in their own capabilities. Do you have a go-to breakfast choice you would like to share? My go-to breakfast is almost always a green smoothie (recipe below), or eggs with spinach and avocado. Andrea's Green Smoothie
