What Schools have met the HCA Standards?
We take the approval process very seriously at The Health Coach Alliance™ (HCA).
Each of the HCA recognized schools has met or exceeded our curriculum requirements for the appropriate corresponding designation(s) in relation to their program offerings. The list of schools below have gone through a rigorous approval process involving a full audit of their qualifying program(s) to ensure it meets the expectations in relation to the number of educational hours, testing, support, learning objectives, and expertise to fulfill our designation requirements.
If you are a student or graduate from an approved school on this page, you automatically qualify for membership with the Health Coach Alliance™. All you have to do is sign up to become a member.

3 Designation Levels
The HCA designations are based on clearly defined curriculum requirements, with each representing a minimum number of required study hours in specified subjects. They range from entry level 200 hour programs to advanced training of 1000 hours or more. There is also a special category for licensed health professionals (LHP).
Some of the HCA recognized schools qualify for more than one HCA designation as noted in the first section below due to the school's curriculum meeting the requirements of each.
Our third designation HCA Registered Clinical Health Coach™ (RCHC™) and is reserved strictly for for licensed health professionals (LHPs) who have taken one of the qualifying programs listed blow.

- Our advanced standing designation is HCA Registered Health & Nutrition Counsellor™ (RHNC™)
- The entry level designation is HCA Registered Health Coach™ (RHC™)

Please note that the RCHC designation is only available to Licensed Health Professionals (MD, GP, ND, LPN, RN, NP, etc) in conjunction with any of the HCA approved programs listed on this page.
