This online, self-study workshop is designed to introduce background factors involved in interpersonal conflict. It presents consideration of nonverbal and paraverbal factors in situations of an escalating client in a workplace setting. It introduces early warning signs of potential aggressive behaviour and provides example scenarios of verbal escalation responses. Through video presentation, de-escalation techniques in a professional relationship are demonstrated and explored.
